Deftac Krav Maga

Deftac Krav Maga (DKM) is our foundation programme and what we believe is one of the most effective, easy to learn and exciting self defence training styles in the world today. Originating in Israel, Krav Maga translates to “Contact Combat” and still today forms the basis of training for the Israeli Defence Force.

The DKM system is comprised of practioner level units that can take up to three years to complete depending on a persons commitment to training. Students are required to work through each unit order to gain the best experience and development of their skills. Grading is not mandatory, however we encourage everyone to work towards these goals to reward themselves on their progress.

Deftac Krav Maga works a variety of techniques including areas such as:

• Defence against unarmed attacks, grabs, holds, takedowns, chokes etc
• Defence against knife attacks and edged weapons
• Defence against stick attacks and using a stick as a defensive weapon
• Defence against firearm attacks
• Defence against multiple attackers
• Plus more…….

CLASS GRADING

We hold gradings every 3 months and these will be based on topics covered during the quarter leading up to the grading. Students should aim to grade 1-2 units per grading and with regular training this will see all 10 units completed within 18mths.

Grading fees are:

$75 per unit being graded for units 2,3 and 4.

$100 per unit being graded for units 5,6 and 7.

$150 per unit being graded for units 8 and 9.

$200 for Unit 10 Black Shirt grading.

These fees are due 1 week prior to grading. There must be at least 3 students in a grading for it to go ahead. Our Unit 10 ‘Black’ Grading is a culmination of skills and experience and is a huge day, consisting of up to 4 hrs of testing.

OUR CLASSES

All our DKM classes are open to people of all levels of experience. Our instructors will tailor your learning experience to the best of your ability. This allows you a choice of 4 classes per week where you can learn, train and experience one of the worlds best systems.

Cost:

Bronze Membership – 2 Classes per week, $71.50/fortnight (direct debit only)

Silver Membership – 4 Classes per week, $111.50/fortnight (direct debit only)

Gold Membership – Unlimited classes, $126.50/fortnight (direct debit only)

10 Visit Pass – $250 (valid for 6 mths)

Note: Gold membership can be used for ANY class at the studio, including TKM and Fitness.

There is a $50 membership fee to be paid on joining.
